School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Wuhan Textile  University, founded in 1999, has a first-level academic master's degree program in Electronic Science and Technology and a first-level professional master's degree program in Electronic Information. It has 6 undergraduate majors: Electronic Information Engineering, Electronic Information Science and Technology, Communication Engineering, Photoelectric Information Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and its Automation and Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Control.

There are more than 1400 undergraduates and over 100 Master Degree Candidates. The number of full-time teachers consists of 87 members, of whom 9 have been selected in provincial projects and the teachers with doctorate or Senior Teacher title account for more than seventy percent.

School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering has a demonstration center of Hubei electrical and electronic experimental teaching and of Hubei University physical experimental teaching. The school has a number of provincial-level research platforms such as intelligent micro nano medical testing equipment and key technology of Hubei Engineering Research Center, Hubei Functional Fiber Processing and Testing Engineering Technology Research Center,  Hubei Photovoltaic Engineering Technology Research Center and other discipline platforms. The school has successively undertaken two projects of the national "863" project. For the past five years, it has undertaken more than 20 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, 2 national key laboratory projects, and many other provincial and enterprise cooperation projects. The major of electrical engineering and automation has been approved by the "excellent engineer training Program of the Ministry of Education" and selected as the "double top-class" major in Hubei Province.

The school has abundant resources of discipline platform and sustainable development of discipline construction. It has many characteristic disciplines such as bioelectronics, intelligent control, intelligent manufacturing and new energy materials. In 2018, the College was approved as "Hubei Engineering Research Center of Intelligent Micro and Nano Medical Testing Equipment and Key Technology" by Hubei Development and Reform Commission; in 2019, it was approved as "Hubei Engineering Research Center of Functional Fiber Processing and Testing" by Hubei Science and Technology Department. The school also has a number of research bases, such as the Key Laboratory of Measurement and Information, the Institute of Optoelectronic Thin Film Materials and Devices, the Institute of Signal and Information Processing, and the Institute of Electronic Information Experimental Technology, as well as advanced scientific research equipment such as magnetron sputtering instrument, plasma coupled etching machine, photoengraving machine, spectrum analyzer and electronic testing and analysis instrument. The total area of scientific research room is nearly 2500 square meters, which provides good conditions for the cultivation of the undergraduates and graduates.

During the past five years, the undergraduates trained by our school have successively won more than 200 National First and Second Prizes, Provincial Grand Prizes and First Prizes in “National Electronic Design Competitions”, "Challenge Cup" and “Embedded System Design Competitions” and so on. The average salary of graduates after half a year's employment ranks in the forefront of their industry.
