WTU has a history of over two decades for its Sino-foreign cooperative education programs with overseas universities and research institutes ever since 1999. It has successively co-established college-level cooperation programs with Holmesglen Institute of TAFE in
Australia
and Southeast Missouri State University in the
United States
. It has partnered with the University of Manchester in
U.K.
and Bunka Gakuen University in
Japan
to conduct university-level cooperation programs. The establishment of Birmingham Institute of Fashion and Creative Art(BIFCA), a partnership program with Birmingham City University of U.K. in 2016, is the first undergraduate-level institute of Sino-foreign cooperative education in Hubei Province. With its sound reputation and high-quality education, WTU has become one of the most successful universities to carry out joint international education in Hubei Province. Nearly 20,000 innovation and application-oriented talents have been studying here in WTU, and its graduates are working for their employers all over the world.
