Recently, the Office for Talent and Department of Education of Hubei Province announced the list of 2022 "Hubei Excellent Teacher Studio". The " Jin Yan-Marxism Theory Famous Teacher Studio " of the School of Marxism of WTU was in the list, and Professor Jin Yan, the principal of the studio, was awarded the title of "Excellent Teacher of Hubei".

The teaching team of "Jin Yan - Marxism Theory Famous Teacher Studio" are from different disciplines including Marxism theory, philosophy, history, and education, reflecting a broad academic vision and awareness of interdisciplinary exchange and integration, and showing strong scientific research strength and scientific research management ability. The team has been approved 10 projects of the National Social Science Fund of China and the Ministry of Education, 4 provincial and ministerial Humanities and Social Science Awards, and has published 18 CSSCI academic papers, forming an academic innovation mechanism including national scientific research projects and achievements.

In the past five years, Professor Jin Yan has presided over 1 National Social Science Fund of China and 10 provincial teaching and research projects. Recently, she has 3 researches, which mainly based on the new-era background of advancing the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity, focusing on higher education teaching and discussing theoretical and practical issues such as patriotic education, reform and innovation of liberal education courses. She kept tracing the reality, focusing on empirical researches, and analyzing the current hot spots and difficulties in socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics and rural governance through in-depth investigation.
