On November 16th, London time, Clarivate released the list of "Highly Cited Researcher " in 2021, and 6,602 experts (including 24 Nobel Prize winners) from more than 70 countries and regions around the world were selected. Prof. Zhou Qin from WTU of School of Mathematical Sciences was selected as a "Highly Cited Researcher" in the interdisciplinary field. This is another significant achievement in the field of discipline construction after WTU enters the top 1% of the global ESI ranking in materials science, chemistry, and engineering, which has enhanced the WTU’s academic voice in the international related disciplines.
It is reported that Prof. Zhou Qin has been selected as one of the highly cited researchers in Clarivate Global for three consecutive years (2019-2021) and one of the highly cited scholars in China by Elsevier in 2020. He is a member of the editorial board of Optik, Alexandria Engineering Journal, Optical, and Quantum Electronics, and other international SCI journals, a reviewer of Mathematical Reviews, a reviewer of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and a member of the editorial board of the Hubei Science Foundation. He is also a member of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and a member of the scientific and technological innovation team of Hubei‘s Universities in the field of "nonlinear optics". His research directions are in optical soliton theory, and he has presided over 4 NSFC projects and published more than 50 academic papers in SCI journals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
