The Delegation Led by Mr. Anuwat Jangwanitlert, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, KMITL Visited WTU

On the morning of May 29th, the delegation led by Mr.Anuwat Jangwanitlert, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, KMITL visited Wuhan Textile University. Tian Huiyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of WTU, met with the guests from Thailand in the conference room of the Administration Building of the Sunshine Campus. The staff from General Administrative Office, the International Office, the School of Bioengineering and Health, the School of Chemical Engineering and the School of International Education attended the talks.

Prof. Tian Huiyu extended a warm welcome to the distinguished friends from Thailand, and expressed heartfelt thanks to the warm reception and thoughtful arrangements accorded by KMITL for the WTU delegation's visit to Thailand in March this year. Tian Huiyu said that in the era of high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Thailand has been deepening, especially the two countries entered the "visa-free era" this year, which has brought new opportunities for exchanges and cooperation in higher education between the two sides. Wuhan Textile University is willing to work with King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang to focus on the academic subject groups of intelligent manufacturing and green manufacturing, and promote the high-level opening up of higher education through all-round exchanges and cooperation, so as to inject new impetus into the friendly relations between China and Thailand.

Mr.Anuwat Jangwanitlert and Miss.Pitcha Prasitmeeboon expressed their gratitude for the warm reception received during their visit. They introduced the history and development achievements of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. They said that with the increasing closeness of China-Thailand relations, the two countries have achieved fruitful cooperation in the field of cooperation of economy, trade, education and cultural exchanges. In the future, they will strive to seek the convergence of science and engineering with the WTU, actively promote cooperation, and make more contributions to jointly cultivating outstanding international talents and enhancing the friendship between the two countries.

During the talks, both two sides discuss the cooperation in the fields of aerospace new materials, computer and artificial intelligence, life and health, and reached a number of consensus: First, the two universities will establish long-term and stable cooperative relations based on the signed agreement, and jointly promote the high-quality development of China-Thailand higher education; Second, encourage mutual visits and exchanges between professors and students, actively participate in bilateral academic and people-to-people exchanges, share scientific research achievements and teaching ideas with each other, so as to enhance mutual understanding and trust; The third is to carry out bilateral cooperation in the education of international students, explore ways of mutual recognition of courses and credits, and encourage students to pursue academic degrees for both 2 universities in various forms.

During the entire visit, the delegation also visited the Sunshine Campus and the Textile Technology Museum.
