On the afternoon of January 9th, Dominic McAllister, Consul General, British Consul General Wuhan, and Arvind Norris, Trade and Investment Consul General, British Consul General Wuhan, visited WTU.
Prof. Fu Xin, Vice President of WTU, met with the British guests and introduced the history and achievements of the cooperation & exchange between the WTU and British universities. He expressed that WTU is willing to promote more extensive and in-depth exchanges with more British universities, so as to jointly create a new chapter of Sino-British educational and cultural cooperation.
Dominic McAllister highly appreciated all the achievements WTU gained in the past decades. He said that under the guidance of international education concepts and teaching models, both sides should actively plan to carry out joint design exhibitions and art salons to promote the integration and mutual learning between Chinese and British Universities in the fields of art and design. The British Consulate General Wuhan will provide strong support in the introduction of quality higher education resources, academic and people-to-people exchanges between China and the UK for WTU.
Mr. Ji Chen, Director of International Office and Prof. Li Wanjun, Dean of Birmingham Institute of Fashion and Creative Art introduced the WTU opening up plan and the mode of international art talents cultivation respectively. During the visit, Dominic McAllister also visited Birmingham Institute of Fashion and Creative art and talk with British teachers.
