Seminar on South-South Cooperation for Promoting Economic Development in Africa was held at WTU

Recently, the opening ceremony of the Foreign Aid Training Program “ Seminar on South-South Cooperation for Promoting Economic Development in Africa“, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by Wuhan Textile University, was held in the International Exchange Center. Vice President Fu Xin, together with the heads of International Office, College of Environmental Engineering, School of International Education, Foreign Aid Project Management Center and teachers and students representatives from countries including Ethiopia, Kenya, Botswana attended the opening ceremony.

Vice President Fu Xin delivered a speech on behalf of all the teachers and students, and expressed a warm welcome to the participants of the seminar. The officials said: China has always upheld the values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom for all mankind and proposed a series of global governance solutions that benefit the livelihoods of the developing countries, further enriching the concept of building "a community with a shared future for mankind". The students are looking forward to learning from each other and gaining friendship with Chinese experts.

After the opening ceremony, Professor Lin Li, CPC Secretary of the IO & IEC and vice Dean of the Research Institute of International People-to-People for Textile Industry, taught the first class with the theme of "The Achievements of Contemporary China and its Success Code". The seminar will last for 21 days, and the teaching team will build a platform for learning and exchange between officials from China and African countries in trade, science and humanities.
