Paper Published by Professor Pan Fei’s Team was selected as ESI Highly Cited Paper

Recently, the paper ''Insights into catalytic activation of peroxymonosulfate for carbamazepine degradation by MnO2nanoparticles in-situ anchored titanate nanotubes: Mechanism, ecotoxicity and DFT study'', which was published in TOP journal of environmental science and ecology area Journal of Hazardous Materials in 2021 by professor Pan Fei, a teacher from College of Environmental Engineering, was selected as Highly Cited Paper by Web of Science, according to the latest statistics from ESI. The paper’s first complete department is Wuhan Textile University and the lead author is Professor Pan Fei.


"Water Environment Comprehensive Management and Ecological Restoration Technology Research Team" is a young scientific research team led by Professor Pan Fei of the College of Environmental Engineering. Based on the needs of the national strategy of the ecological protection of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and social development, the team aims at the problems of toxic organic matter and typical heavy metal pollution in the water environment, focusing on the source control of pollutants, environmental behavior and ecological effects, end treatment and other fields. The main research directions include source control of water environmental pollution, environmental chemical behavior of pollutants, Structure-activity relationship of organic pollutants, theory and technology of ecological restoration, water environment restoration of river surges and river basins, new environmental restoration materials, etc.

Now the team has more than 30 persons, among which 5 are youth doctors, 18 are graduates and 4 are international students. The team has developed more than 30 graduates in total. Since 2015, the team has published a total of 39 Highest Cited Paper in famous international academic journal, such as Water ResearchJournal of Hazardous Materials, ACS ES&T water, Science of the Total Environment, Separation and Purification Technology, Chinese Chemical Letters, and has won the third prize in Science and Technology Award of Hubei Province and the second prize in the Thirteenth Natural Science Excellent Academic Paper of Hubei Province.
