On Jan. 27th, The research team led by Prof. Wang Jinfeng from Institute of Technology of WTU has published the latest new scientific research achievements "An Ultralight Self-Powered Fire Alarme -Textile Based on Conductive Aerogel Fiber with Repeatable Temperature Monitoring Performance Used in Firefighting Clothing” in the ACS NANO, which is regarded as the international top journal in the field of Nano materials.
Based on the mechanism of friction Nano generator (FT-TENG), combined with the lightweight and braided properties of aerogel fiber and the temperature response resistance change characteristics of semiconductor nanomaterials, This research project an electronic fabric with both ultra-sensitive temperature response and self-power capability could be made in this research project. When the electronic fabric is combined with the fire-fighting wear fabric, it can realize instant warning when the surface of the fire-fighting suit is subjected to high temperature flame above 350℃. It can also be used as the energy collector of the fire-fighting and provide self-powered positioning and personal rescue functions for firefighters.
