On October 15th, the WTU International Division and the School of International Education organized 33 international students from 17 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Morocco, Tanzania, Bangladesh, and Ethiopia, to carry out a practical activity of China's general education based on the theme of perceiving the culture of the Red Revolution in China. During the event, Chinese and foreign teachers and students visited the Wuchang Uprising Memorial Hall of Xinhai Revolution and Mao Zedong's former residence and learn the struggle history of the Chinese nation's "constant self-improvement and tenacious struggle", the urban spirit of the heroic city of Wuhan "daring to be the first and pursuing excellence", as well as the revolutionary historical origin and life stories between the great Chairman Mao Zedong and Wuhan.

Professor Lin Li, Director of the International Division and Dean of the School of International Education, said this year marks the 110th anniversary of the victory of the 1911 Revolution and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. In this year of special significance, the school continues to organize and lead international students to visit and study in Wuhan cultural scenic spots and red bases, which is an important measure for the curriculum reform and innovation of China Overview. In the future, we will continue to integrate the history of the Communist Party of China and Chinese red culture into the course content, to enable international students to better understand the excellent traditional Chinese culture and the achievements of an advanced civilization of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Finally, we guide them to take an active part in the great cause of promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and connecting the hearts of the people.
