Mid-Autumn Festival, as one of the four most important traditional festivals in  China , is the day for family reunion and appreciation of the moon. We used to spend time with our families, but this year we chose another way to celebrate this special holiday---- holding a party with international students. For them, this is not only a Chinese festival but also their first holiday after they enter Wuhan  Textile University. It is also an opportunity to learn more about Chinese culture. We, the members of the People-to-people Exchange Association, have the honor to participate in this event, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival together with teachers and foreign students.

With cheerful music, the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration began. Host Chen Yuanzhuo first introduced the customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival and interacted with international students at the scene. Then we watched a short video to get a more comprehensive understanding of the legends and traditional customs behind the Mid-Autumn Festival.

After that, Zhang Shangyong, secretary of the Party branch of the international school and office, gave a speech expressing a warm welcome to the arrival of international students and high expectations for their future study and life in the university. Meanwhile, the member from People-to-people Exchange Association, Yang Zijian translated the speech for foreign friends.

Chinese calligraphy has a far-reaching history and is an indispensable part of Chinese culture, we invited members of the Calligraphy and Painting Association to show us calligraphy displays. Pleasant songs were always an essential part, this activity we and international students together sang the "Though far apart, we are still able to share the beauty of the moon together", despite the language barriers, the beautiful melody conveyed the sincerest blessing. In order to interact with international students, with the assistance of Zeng Wei, we played the "you draw I guess" game together, everyone used their own unique way to show a variety of words. Finally, the Mid-Autumn Festival event ended successfully in a traditional Chinese ballad "Jasmine".

Perhaps the meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival lies in reunion and sharing, we sincerely hope everyone can have a happy and enjoyable life in the future.
