Recently, a special session-"President's Questions and Answers Course" for 2021 graduates of Wuhan  Textile University was held in the International Academic Lecture Hall of Sunshine Campus. 

President Xu Weilin and relevant leaders, teachers, staff as well as graduates spoke freely and discussed the life planning and university development.

The students communicated cordially with President Xu and shared their thoughts and insights in respect of studying and living at campus of WTU. Basit, an international student, on behalf of Pakistani graduate students, studying at School of Mechanical Engineering, made special suggestions on the English teaching courses of WTU. Xu believed that the suggestions gave by international students are very important and provide guidance for the WTU international development and the quality assurance of international talent cultivation. He pointed out that the Teacher Development  Center should organize teachers to intensively discuss the proposition of "How to teach international students well". Teachers should also continue to understand the history, culture and custom of the countries where our international students come from, and continuously improve the education and teaching level of international students. At the same time, he encouraged Basit to continue to study hard and be the messenger of cultural exchanges between  China  and  Pakistan .

It is reported that the president's Q&A course is a course organized by the WTU general office and various functional departments and focuses on the confusion and problems of the students. This course is personally taught and answered by the president. By listening to students and solving problems, we can better serve students' study and life and promote the reform and development of WTU. Baist said that Studying at WTU will be an unforgettable life experience for himself. Here, he not only learned the professional knowledge of textile machinery and Chinese history & culture, but also felt the care and friendship given by the teachers and students of the International Education School. During the epidemic, he participated in voluntary services for epidemic prevention and united together with WTU teachers and students. He witnessed all the hard work and great sacrifices made by the Chinese Communists for hundreds of millions of Chinese people. He deeply felt that China has played a responsible role and has taken on historical responsibility as a major country on the path of world peace and development.

The president’s Q&A class before graduation also touched him. He was very happy to see that the reform and development of the WTU and the students' aspirations and expectations are closely linked. It demonstrates that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the university is based on the development of students. Basit said that in the future, he will stay in Wuhan   and continue his PhD studies. After completing his studies, he will focus on the textile machinery trade between China and Pakistan as his main field of work. He will also transform this Chinese love into the internationalist spirit of building a community with a shared future. He will make his own contribution to promote the trade cooperation and International People-to-People exchange for the textile industry between China and Pakistan .
