WTU actively promotes International Education for the individual. To date, over 1000 international students from 70 countries and regions have studied at our university for short or long-term periods in a variety of disciplines. This initiative offers broad and far-reaching opportunities for leadership development. It promotes success in teaching, scientific research, and international exchange at all levels of the educational spectrum.

In 2014, WTU was commissioned to cultivate the international students who received a Chinese Government Scholarship, awarded by the Ministry of Education of the PRC. From the year of 2013 onwards, we have cultivated over 400 international postgraduate students majoring in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, Dyeing & Finishing, Accounting, Logistic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, etc. The majority of them have been capable and creative enough to work in famous enterprises all over the world. They contributed to the development of the textile & fashion industry, promoted cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world and strengthened friendship between Chinese people and those inhabiting countries along the routes of the Belt and Road.
