Recently, Stanford University in the United States and Elsevier, an international authoritative academic publisher, jointly released the "Top 2% Global Scientists List" for 2025. Twenty-five scholars fromWTU, including Xu Weilin, Zhou Qin, Lyu Yonggang, Zhu Junjiang, He Yunbin, Guo Sheng, Zhao Xingzhong, Tang Xiaoning, Zhu Zongmin, Zhou Yingshan, Zhang Hui, Wang Jinfeng, Xu Jie, Luo Fang, Ren Xuehong, Cao Longchao, Feng Yudi, He Hualing, Jiang Wei, Tu Hu, Cai Guangming, Yu Zhicai, Wu Qi, and Ding Cuicui, have been honored on the "2025 Scientific Influence List". Among them, Xu Weilin, Zhou Qin, Zhao Xingzhong, Feng Yudi, Jiang Wei, He Yunbin, and Lyu Yonggang have simultaneously been included in the "Lifetime Scientific Influence Ranking", highlighting the continuous academic contributions and profound influence of our university's scholars.

This list is based on two major dimensions: "lifetime influence" and "annual influence", conducting a comprehensive evaluation of nearly 7 million scientists worldwide, covering 22 major fields and 174 subfields. It selects the top 2% of the world's leading scientific talents. According to statistics, this year a total of 31,685 scholars from China were selected for the "Annual Influence List", and 12,374 scholars entered the "Lifetime Scientific Influence Ranking".
