Recently, Stanford University released the sixth edition of the World's Top 2% Scientists, which is divided into "Lifetime Scientific Influence Ranking" and "Annual Scientific Influence Ranking".

In the list of the 2023 World's Top 2% Scientists, four scholars of WTU, including Zhou Qin, Xu Weilin, Chen Rong and Wang Dong, were selected into the list of “Lifetime Scientific Influence Ranking” , and 11 scholars, including Zhou Qin, Wang Dong, Chen Rong, Wang Tingting, Xu Weilin, Zhu Junjiang, Guo Sheng, Lv Yonggang, Tang Xiaoning, Zhang Hui, Ren Xuehong, Zhou Yingshan, Yang Jie and Wu Qi were selected into "Annual Scientific Influence Ranking".
