Recently, Dr. Yao Na, from the WTU State Key Laboratory of Textile New Materials and Advanced Processing Technology led by Academician Xu Weilin, has made important progress in the preparation of anode materials for proton exchange membrane water electrolytic cell (PEMWE), proposing to anchor Ru oxide on UiO-67-bpydc by RU-N bond. The synthesis of atomically dispersed Ru oxide catalysts was used to achieve efficient oxygen extraction reaction (OER) in acidic media. The RU-N bond between Ru oxide and IOO-67-BPYDC not only promotes lattice oxygen participation in the OER process, but also stabilities soluble *Vo-RuO42- intermediates, which helps to improve OER activity and long-term stability.
Relevant achievements are entitled "Atomically Dispersed Ru Oxide Catalyst with Lattice Oxygen Participation for Efficient Acidic Water Oxidation", published in the top international journal Chem (a sister journal of Cell), Yao Na is the first author, and the corresponding author is Professor Wei Luo of Wuhan University. The achievements were also published in the journal Chem (2023,13, 1628-1630) and the journal Matter (2023,5, 2099-2100) by Professor Qiao Shizhang, Academician of the Australian Academy of Sciences, and Professor Huang Xiaoqing, Xiamen University, respectively, which highly affirmed the breakthrough idea.
