Recently, the 16th "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge National Final was successfully held in 2022. The student team led by Zhang Chi, a teacher from the School of Mechanical Engineering, won the first prize in the national finals.

It is reported that "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge Competition is a national competition under the strategic cooperation framework signed by the Ministry of Education of China and Siemens (China) Co., LTD., which has now become the largest and highest standard student competition in the field of intelligent manufacturing in China. This year, a total of 6,067 teams participated in the competition. Finally, 205 teams from universities including University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Tongji University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, Wuhan University of Technology and Wuhan University of Technology entered the national finals.
