The “Intangible Cultural Heritage Center”of Wuhan Textile University brings Jingchu intangible cultural heritage artworks to surprise the “Z generation” of China, Japan and South Korea

In order to promote the friendly relationship between the youth of China, Japan and South Korea, the "Generation Z" China, Japan and South Korea youth exchange activities were held in Wuhan on August 23th.

Hundreds of guests including teenagers, journalists from China, Japan and Korea, as well as representatives from friendship groups and friendly people, participated in the event through a combination of online and offline methods.

The event deepened mutual understanding and cognition between the three countries through cultural exchanges on themes such as "a very near historical fate separated by only a strip of water", and cemented the common cultural bond of the three countries.


The teachers and students of the Han Embroidery Base of the Ministry of Education of Wuhan Textile University brought a small Hubei intangible cultural heritage clothing show to the guests, showing the traditional Xiuhe wedding clothing made with Han embroidery technology and modified short cheongsam following the modern fashion, as well as the modern dress decorated with Yangxin cloth stickers and Yingshan entwined flowers, making the youth of the three countries feel the fashion deduction of Jingchu intangible cultural heritage.

Outside the venue, there were dazzling displays of intangible cultural heritage projects in Hubei Province, such as Makou kiln, dough sculpture, Daye embroidery, Yingshan tangled flowers, green brick tea, and Yangtze River moon cakeswhich made them amazed impossibly.

Pulling adobe, kneading dough figurines, making mooncakes, making iced tea, embroidering embroidery, and wrapping flowers, the Chinese, Japanese and Korean "Gen Z" experienced them one by one with full interest, and deeply felt the long history and colorful culture of Hubei.
