On July 18th, Wuhan Textile University 2022 Summer International Credit Course was officially opened. More than 100 outstanding international students from DKTE Textile Research Institute of India and Metropolitan Polytechnic University of Hidalgo of Mexico met on the Internet to talk about growth and development.
The course, with the theme of "Approaching Wuhan", was designed and organized by the International Office, the School of International Education and the Research Institute of International People-to-People Exchange for Textile Industry. The team of teachers from the School of International Education and the School of Foreign Languages intended to present Wuhan's history, culture, geography, ecological environment, etc. to the international students. The course not only covers the magnificence of Wuhan's great rivers and lakes and the spirit of Red culture, but also incorporates the fruitful achievements in scientific research and social services of WTU, allowing international students to understand the cultural heritage of the City of Heroes and feel the vigorous development of Chinese university.
The 14-day course not only attracted the participation of students from the university's friendly partner institutions in India and Mexico, but also inspired the participation of experts and scholars from the universities of “The Belt and Road Alliance Textile Higher Education”, giving more youth and academic power to the construction of “The Belt and Road initiative” and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. They all expressed their hope that they could take this opportunity to learn Chinese language and culture and come to Wuhan to study soon after the epidemic.
