On 22nd June, Research Institute of International People-to-People Exchange for Textile Industry and Winner held a visiting activity themed “Perceiving China from Winner”-exploring the secret of China’s automatic medical textile industry. This activity involved more than 40 international and Chinese teachers and students from more than 10 countries, including China, Russia, Ukraine, Ghana, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. They visited Winner Medical Co.,Ltd(Wuhan),which was founded by the alumnus of WTU Class of '78 and Chairman of the Board of Winner, Li Jianquan, perceived rapid technological progress of China’s textile industry, heard stories about Chinese entrepreneurs and workers, witnessed the innovative and win-win development model of China’s universities and enterprises.

The clean and tidy workshops, methodical work scenario and high qualified workers of the company received praise from the students. Tetiana from Ukraine said: “Through this activity, my inherent impression and thoughts of China’s enterprises are totally changed. I am amazed at the automatic and intelligent manufacturing, green and low-carbon scientific development model.”

The second stop was Innovation Research Institute, jointly set up by WTU and Winner. Under the leading of laboratory workers and alumni who are now working in Winner, they visited the textile industry chain professional laboratory. In the forum hosted by Professor Lin Li, associate dean of the institute, President Ji Hua introduced the history, culture, technological innovation of Winner and its contribution to China and the world during the epidemic by donating a large sum of medical products. He also mentioned the long history between WTU and Winner by presenting the friendship between President Xu Weilin and Chairman of the board, Li Jianquan and the achievements in “production, education , research and application” and other aspects.

By the end of this activity, representatives from WTU and Winner signed the“Cooperation Agreement between Winner Medical Co., Ltd(Wuhan) and Reasearch Institute of International People-to-People Exchange for Textile Industry”under the witness of Chinese and international teachers and students, which showed the Research Institute of International People-to-People Exchange for Textile Industry Winner Medical Co., Ltd (Wuhan) Research Center and the Internship and Practice base for international students in Wuhan Textile University were officially completed.
