“Praise the youth, Live up to the times”—Research Institute of International People-to-People Exchange for Textile Industry held the youth poetry meeting for Chinese and foreign teachers and students

With the Chinese Youth Day approaching, the youth poetry meeting co-sponsored by the International Office, the School of International Education and Research Institute of International People-to-People Exchange for Textile Industry was successfully held in the Chinese culture experience room of the International Exchange Center. Chinese students from the People-to-People Exchange Association and more than 30 exchange students from Russia, Zimbabwe, Morocco, Bangladesh gathered together to carry forward the May 4th spirit and sing the praise of glorious youth.

The vice president Huang Yunping attended the meeting and delivered a speech. She indicated that youth is the most precious time in life and a state of mind that is being positive and striving for the best. She hoped Chinese and foreign teachers and students can dream as horse, act their glorious youth, study hard to make great contributions to the time and the harmony of civilizations.

The meeting began with the recitation of the poem Youth delivered by Chinese student Chen Yuanzhuo and foreign student Rumman. Both Chinese student Yang Shiyu and foreign student Ruabgo chose Xi Murong’s poem undesignedly to express their hopes for youth from different perspectives. Foreign students Sarazul and Youssef recited poems from their motherland in Bengali and French, slowly pouring out their yearning for their homeland and the desire for brilliant life.

The meeting reached a successful end in the interactions between Chinese and foreign teachers and students of WTU. “Using poetry as a medium and Conveying emotions through letters” showed the praise for youth and beautiful vision for the world peace of the Chinese and foreign students of WTU. The successful holding of the international people-to-people exchange activity not only set off a wave for reading and writing poems, but also allowed everyone to feel the nurturing of the ideas and sprits of the new era.
