Recently, China Scholarship Council (CSC) announced the list of funded projects for the 2022 Program of Promoting International Education Cooperation with Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The "International Talent Cultivation Program for Advanced Manufacturing of High-end Textile Equipment" of WTU was approved for the first time.
This program was applied by the WTU International Office, which was strongly supported by the School of Mechanical Engineering and the academician Mei Shunqi 's teaching and scientific research team. The program closely focuses on the development needs in the transformation and upgrading for the national high-end textile equipment manufacturing industry, and fully relies on the comprehensive exchange and cooperation between WTU, Altai State Technical University of Russia and East Siberia State University of Technology and Management for many years, aiming at cultivating international innovative talents with the global vision. After the evaluation and selection, li Wenhui and other five outstanding postgraduate students from the School of Mechanical Engineering were selected into the first batch of the program.
The successful approval of the program means WTU took the critical steps for the seizing new opportunities of high-quality education in the post-pandemic era. The three universities will take this opportunity to further consolidate the friendly cooperative relationship, expand the scope of exchanges, deepen the connotation of cooperation in all aspects, and promote exchanges and integration in talent cultivation, exchange of teachers, curriculum development and scientific research cooperation.
