On August 9th, Roman, a Bangladeshi student from Wuhan Textile University, introduced his study and life experiences in Wuhan under the global Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia epidemic through an online interview with Ekattor TV.

Roman said: "From April 18th, the overall urban area of Wuhan has been downgraded to low risk. Since then, the people of Wuhan have returned to normal lives, but when necessary, we still wear masks consciously to continue to protect ourselves and people around us. "Up to now, the 29 international students who have adhered to Wuhan Textile University have all been healthy and safe. Apart from telling teachers when leaving the campus, our lives are no different from those under non-epidemic conditions. We can go to scenic spots and shopping malls, and life is very convenient. On June 10th, all of our 29 international students carried out the first group outing activity since the outbreak of epidemic, walking into nature in the breeze and drizzle, and perceiving the long-lost verdant hills and clear waters, which made us feel more deeply that the persistence and fighting in the previous months is totally worth it. " When talking about the learning situation, Roman said: "Teachers taught us through online platforms. During the lecture, we could ask the teacher questions. Although we could not meet the teacher in person, we have maintained a close contact with the teacher, making us feel that the teachers were just by our side, which ensured that our studies would not be delayed due to the epidemic. Our courses are over and it is summer vacation now. We are specially looking forward to learning in the classroom normally next semester. " During the connection, Roman also introduced his volunteer work during the epidemic. It is said that Wuhan Textile University has established International Students Volunteer Service Team. As the team leader, Roman is responsible for monitoring and reporting the body temperatures of international students at school every day, organizing students to carry out appropriate outdoor activities, helping student dormitories to open windows and with ventilating, supervising and inspecting the cleanliness of public areas, as well as centralized procurement and distribution of hygiene and various living materials. Because of his outstanding work, Roman was named an Advanced Individual in the epidemic prevention and control work of Wuhan Textile University and an Excellent Anti-epidemic Volunteer of the International Education School.

It is reported that since the outbreak of the epidemic, in the face of some Western media’s false reports on the Chinese government and the anti-epidemic work of Wuhan, the international students of Wuhan Textile University have insisted on taking the initiative to speak out for China’s epidemic prevention and control in various official media and self-media, objectively told the stories of China’s anti-epidemic battle that they personally experienced, and praised the Chinese government’s organizational and action capabilities as well as the advantages of the Chinese system. This is the sixth time an international student from Wuhan Textile University has been interviewed by the media of his own country.
