Recently, Mr. Mansulov, the academician of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and the president of National University of Chemical Technology ( Russia ), Tashkent Branch, visited Wuhan University of Technology (WTU). Mr. Peng Yuyuan, the President of WTU, met with the Russian guests. The other Academician, Mei Shunqi, as well as the officials in charge from the International Office and the Mechanical School, also attended the meeting.

It is reported that Mr. Mansulov, academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, who used to work in Ministry of Innovation and Development of Uzbekistan, has in-depth understandings and unique insights on the planning and development of science, technology and education. During the meeting, the two universities conducted a detailed discussion on such issues as arranging mutual visits of faculties between them, joint talent cultivation as well as cooperation in production, learning, research and application in the fields of cotton, silk and textile machinery, resulting in a series of consensus.

After the meeting, Mr. Mansulov, the academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, met with Uzbek graduate students studying in our university. During the conversation, he also encouraged the overseas students to cherish the opportunity to study in Wuhan Textile University, strive to learn Chinese and professional knowledge, and act as the bridges and messengers of cultural exchanges between China and other countries.
