The International Society for Analysis, its Applications and Computation Congress is a biennial scientific event of great international influence during which mathematicians from different parts of the world have an opportunity to present new results and ideas. This year, 300-odd researchers and experts in mathematics from over 20 countries and regions attended the 12th Congress held at the Univeristy of Aveiro. Three professors of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science—Li Dengfeng, Dong Yunbai and Wang Yanbo— were invited and delivered academic lectures.
The Congress features more than 20 mathematical research fields including analysis, application and computing. The three professors’ lectures concerned wavelet analysis and framework theory, function space and operator theory, as well as time-frequency analysis and application. They took this opportunity to share their latest research results and had heated discussions with various foreign experts.
