Wuhan Textile University (WTU) has all along been adhering to the philosophy of “Characteristic Development and Open Education”. By adopting the tactic of all-round open education, WTU has actively carried on international education, scientific, technological and cultural exchange programs by strengthening cooperation with world-renowned universities and scientific research institutions, with remarkable achievements in international partner development, joint talent cultivation, Sino-foreign cooperative education and international academic research cooperation, etc. Meanwhile, WTU has been consistently expanding its wide-ranging and high-level horizon with an open and internationalized education pattern, witnessing a steady rise in its social reputation and international profile. As we usher into the new era of achieving great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, WTU has been actively responding to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) proposed by President Xi Jinping. In the past few years, it has already established a long-term partnership by coordinating with more than 20 universities and research institutions among the BRI partner countries, and cultivated over 300 high-level overseas graduate students from those countries and regions.
